ADOPT A MILE MINISTRY offers our church members an opportunity to keep County Road 95 clean and demonstrate our concern for a beautiful and healty environment.

ADULT READING AND WRITING MINISTRY
offers a personal tutor to teach adults who do not have the ability to read or write on a functional level. Contact Grace Johnson, Director at 685-9845 for assistance.

ANGEL FOOD MINISTRY makes available healthy food at a discount price. The cost of a month’s order of food is $30.00. Contact Ken and Carol Higdon at fbca-angelfood@bellsouth.net or by phone at 620-9144. 

BENEVOLENCE MINISTRY counsels, assists or refers persons who are in a crisis situation. Limited funds are available. Call Betty Novak at 663-3531 for an application.

COMMUNITY OF HOPE HEALTH CLINIC is a Free Medical Clinic, which is open for uninsured clients each Thursday evening from 5:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Public Health Department in Pelham in the Shelby County Government Center. We take the first 20 people who come for medical assistance.

CROSS MINISTRY is a Home Repair ministry targeting people who have no family or are financially unable to repair their homes, erect handicap ramps, or correct problems in their home. Persons assisted must own their home and be financially qualified. Call Al Miller at 664-2561 for requests.

DISASTER RELIEF MINISTRY
is an opportunity to be involved in assisting people who have home damage as a result of devastating storms or flooding. Volunteers must have training and have a badge of certification.  Call Leon White, Disaster Relief Director for Shelby Baptist Association at 621-7691 to get involved.

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE MINISTRY
is a wonderful literacy ministry helping people who are born outside the United States learn how to read and write English. People who come for assistance are very teachable and grateful. Call Sarah White, ESL Director at 621-7691.

FIRST RESPONSE MINISTRY welcomes and gives gifts to new home owners in the Alabaster and surrounding communities. This is an outreach service to new people in our area. Call Director, Carol Higdon at 620-9144.

FOOD MINISTRY is offered on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Persons requesting help must call 663-3531 and ask for an appointment. We offer food assistance to persons who qualify and live in the Zip Code areas 35007, 35114, 35080 and 35124. Those in the Alabaster area with Zip Code 35115 may apply.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY MINISTRY is an opportunity to give back to our neighbors by helping build a new home for a family who can purchase a home built by loving friends. Habitat for Humanity is a God centered organization committed to building and mortgaging homes for low income people. You can volunteer for one day, one week or be a part of our church team in the spring of each year.
 
INTENSIVE MINISTRY TRANSFORMATION is an opportunity for people to learn how Christ can set them free from addiction. (Romans 12:1-2)  Participants will be led through an intensive faith-based Biblical program, by a trained and caring staff. The class if offered two times a year and may have additional group support time.

TUTORING CHILDREN AND YOUTH MINISTRY is an opportunity to tutor children and youth who are struggling with their homework. This is a golden chance to be a mentor and encourage young lives with great potential. We are currently seeking a New Director, who will be trained and certified to lead a team of adults and youth to tutor students of all ages. All materials and training will be offered without cost. There is a great need now – for this ministry.
